In today’s online marketing world, businesses with blogs really must keep up with the current SEO trends. This is especially true since the factors that influence search engine rankings (SERPs) seemingly change from one day to the next. One thing is for certain: those businesses seeking potential customers from the internet can no longer get away with simply stuffing keywords into posts for their blogs.
Jamie Teasdale, a business growth advocate and strategist, published an article for SteamFeed recently, “Why You Need to Focus on Your Blogging SEO Strategy in 2015. ” In this article, Teasdale reinforces the important shift in how businesses should now create content for SEO. It makes a difference when businesses create quality content that helps them stand out from their competition versus creating keyword-stuffed posts…or worse: fluff. She states the following in her article:
…writers must focus on a blogging SEO strategy which artfully combines relevant keywords with quality writing. The purpose of this is to force bloggers to provide value to their readers while keeping Google “happy.”
This infographic via Brafton illustrates how SEO has evolved and why. Businesses should use diligence when creating content for SEO - from the quality of their writing to the amount of content they produce. Of course, when a business know its audience and creates content accordingly, the rest falls into place.
